My pearl-clutching, retired-English-teacher mother would love to see "WTF" replaced with something less "vulgar." She may become the interrobang's latest champion once I tell her it's still out there!

The interrobang might have succeeded if it had a better name, such as quexclamation. It’s all about branding.

Per Keith Houston, the runner-up names included emphaquest, exclarogative, interrapoint, quex, rhet, and consternation mark?!!

And yet I missed that pun?!

I was onboard until the insult at people who wear their underpants on their heads. Why would someone say such a thing!?

Not an insult!!!!! Just a correlation with exclamatiolics, which may or may not equal causation…

Ditto on thankful for Get Wit Quick. Sorry I missed saying that last month on Canada’s holiday.

Surprised I knew nothing about the interrobang — lovely, lively idea. My mother worked summers between Madison semesters at the NY Trib, but that was in the 40s, so I can’t blame her for the omission.

My favorite quote today is the Bertrand Russell. Suits my old age. Finally learning how much I don’t know.

I first heard the Roberta Flack version of Compared to What on her album First Take which I bought in ‘69 for the folk song The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Great surprises on that vinyl. Found the McCann Harris in 1970, doing the then common cheap three months solo trip through Europe. They did always appreciate “American” jazz more than we did.

Hey !? (?!) maybe we can lobby for an interrobang emoji. Or is there one? So many now, they make me dizzy!

Thanks for being you, Ben!
