A gem from Wikipedia: Edith Wharton and Ogden Codman Jr., in The Decoration of Houses (1897), distinguished three gradations of quality in such "household ornaments": bric-à-brac, bibelots (trinkets) and objets d'art.
Well that was a corker of a post, as would any post that quotes Carlin and Lebowitz, and Bombeck! And as I look up from my laptop at the wall of CD. vinyl, and mementos in my living room/office, I reassure myself that my stuff is truly the stuff of memories (smile).
Congrats on the Pierre Berton catch. Have you noticed the new Tim Hortons ad, in which the final image is a heart with the word "Tims" in it, without an apostrophe? At least it's consistent with Tim Hortons not having an apostrophe.
You spotted the error in the pot's last name, but then misspelled the kettle's. It is Kurelek, not Kuralek. Shame!
Added bonus error: The river-stepping historian was Heraclitus, not Herodotus!
Also hubris is spelled with a “u”
All correctud now!

Love it! But what happens in the bric-a-brackish water between the categories?
Clutter inhibits. What doesn't, isn't.
Well put in the right place!

And Husserl! The father of phenomenology! The Kramer to their Jerry, George & Elaine! A cluttered mind has lots to say on this subject.
Have you read this recent piece all about phenomenology by Dillard? If not, do check it out. https://worldhistory.substack.com/p/phrenologys-bumpy-path
Phrenology vs Phenomenology! But the bigger your cranium, the more clutter you can store in there!
Phenomenology and phrenology are quite different.
Oh, I learn something new every day! Well, that actually makes Benjamin's statement make more sense.
I love this as an esoteric eggcorn!

Yes! I think we can agree they should rebrand TimBits as Apostrophes, to explain where they all went.
